About Audio Toolkit

Audio Toolkit edits audio entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API — no WebAssembly download, no server. Trim clips by sample-accurate timestamps, merge multiple files in order, shift playback speed, adjust volume or peak-normalize, and apply fade-in / fade-out envelopes. Output is always WAV (PCM). Nothing leaves your device.

How it Works

1Drop an audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A — anything your browser can decode).
2Pick a tab: Trim, Merge, Speed, Volume, or Fade.
3Adjust the controls and click Apply.
4Preview the result and download as WAV.
5Use Replace Input to chain multiple operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the output always WAV?

WAV is the native output of the Web Audio API. It is lossless and plays everywhere. Convert to MP3 or OGG locally after downloading if you need a smaller file.

Can I trim an MP3?

Yes. The browser decodes the MP3, trims the PCM at sample-accurate timestamps, and re-encodes to WAV. The output is WAV, not MP3.

Why was my file rejected?

The browser's built-in decoder must support the file. Chromium supports MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, and M4A. Firefox does not support M4A/AAC natively. Try converting to MP3 or WAV first.

Is there a file-size limit?

200 MB per file. Large files may take a few seconds to decode, which is normal — a progress indicator is shown during decode.
