Add Page Numbers stamps sequential page numbers onto every page of a PDF. Choose from six positions (top or bottom × left, centre, right), set the number format (Page X, Page X of Y, or a custom prefix), and configure font size and offset from the edge. Output is generated using pdf-lib directly in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I start numbering from a page other than 1?

Yes. A start number offset lets you begin from any number, useful when combining chapters or adding front matter later.

Will the numbers cover existing content?

Page numbers are drawn at the edge of the page with a configurable margin, minimising overlap with body content. Increase the margin if your document has edge-aligned content.
